Newborn puppies can suffer from a loss of body temperature, which can be a leading cause of mortality in puppies, as well as other species. A whelping nest helps to maintain a constant body temperature for the newborn puppies by providing supplemental heat. This not only keeps the puppies warm but also reduces mortality and ensures healthier and more vibrant pups. Here are the features of the whelping nest:
